Examination Structure

The ENGINIUS Examination consists of written and oral tests. The candidates are evaluated in the following subjects: French, English, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Written tests

BAC + 0 candidates

The written part of the Examination includes four tests: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, French and English for 1h30 per test.

OR

For the students applying for Political Sciences or Law BA: General Knowledge, French and English test and a quizz on Political Sciences or Law for 1h30 per test.

BAC + 1 candidates

The written part of the Examination includes four tests: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, French and Computer Sciences for 1h30 per test.

BAC + 2 candidates

The written part of the Examination consists of 5 tests: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, French, English and Computer Sciences for 1h30 per test.

Description of examination papers

All examination papers are in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The French examination is the only exception.

  • The Mathematics test includes questions about the fundamental concepts of the Examination Program.

  • The Physics and Chemistry test includes questions about the fundamental concepts of the Examination Program.

  • The Computer Sciences test includes questions about the fundamental concepts of the Examination Program.

  • The English test focuses on vocabulary and application exercises.

  • The French test focuses on grammar, vocabulary and spelling issues. It also includes a written part: an argumentative essay or a summary.

EXAMINATION RULES (in French only)

Interviews

After the written tests, the students are informed by email whether or not they are eligible for the oral tests.
Please note that only the eligible students can take the oral part of the examination.

The oral tests include two parts:

For Bac+1 or +0 level

  • Interview on general knowledge and motivation to continue studies abroad (20-30 minutes).

For Bac+2 level

  • Interview on general knowledge and motivation to continue studies abroad (20-30 minutes).

  • Presentation of a scientific document:

– The candidate will have 1 hour to prepare (document study).
– Then 30 minutes for the presentation (15 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of questions & discussion with the jury members).

This test will assess the candidate’s abilities to speak and argue on a scientific subject.
